Glass Light Portraiture

Fusing signature projection mapping techniques and immersive light technologies, you’ll collaborate with Saira to your create unique your self portraits. Identity immersed within complex layers of colour, textures, symbolism and scripture, capturing spirit in a forever keepsake.

THE PROCESS

Phase 1: Research & Supply

i) You’ll be sent a personal questionnaire opening up your mind to explore the visual and symbolic aspects of your life. From words of a favourite poem, a private letter, a child’s drawing, a tattoo, a saying you live your life by, sacred names, dates, a photograph of someone, a special place, a painting. You’ll also be asked to think about your portrait shot; face or body, preferred angles and portrayed emotion.

ii) We’ll discuss your questionnaire findings and discover your chosen Symbols.

iii) Whether you supply visual elements, handwrite or prefer the artist to write/sketch, all symbolic elements are gathered. Artist writing and line sketches are included. Anything more intricate such as symbolic painting will be an added cost as discussed.

Phase 2: Symbolic Creations

Using the elements gathered, the symbols will be created. A series of lightworks with different colourways & textures will be prepared. You’ll be sent a mood board of these and we’ll discuss which you prefer.

Phase 3: The Shoot

Filming will take place in our West London HQ studio unless requested. Shoots outside the studio will incur additional production time and costs.

Phase 4: Digital Artwork Approvals

Your artworks will be created. You’ll be sent a contact sheet with a variety of still portraits to choose from. You can select as many as you like to be made in to Glass Portraits. Price per Artwork, spec below.

THE GLASS PHYSICAL ARTWORK

Your physical artwork self portrait is created using special colour pigments and a unique Acrylic-based-Glass blend. Handling Gloves will be provided.

• Dimensions: 40 x 56.6 cm (unless otherwise requested)

• Fuji Crystal Archive Art Colour, Glossy Coating

• Acrylic-Glass 2 mm

• Aluminium rails ready for hanging

Ready to book? Simply select “Book My Portrait” which covers the process, all phases 1-4. We’ll be in touch by email to discuss next steps and timelines.

Once your Digital Artwork Portraits are created, you can take your time to choose which ones you would like to turn in to Glass Artworks. Let us know and we’ll direct you back here to purchase 1, 2 or 3 Artworks using the drop down below. Those will be made and you’ll receive your Artworks within 28 days.
