Saira’s last collection exhibited during her 3 month residency at the Exhibitionist Hotel, London is a series of 14 artworks that encapsulate synaesthesia and immersive nature. Each piece captures a moment in time for the artist and then evolves to form a personal timeless and asemic experience for the viewer

Inspired by the rediscovery of childhood diaries overflowing in lost deeply personal memories captured in symbols and secret writings. The natural rawness of the works evokes the noise, colour, and drama of her South Indian heritage, from Bollywood to Qawwali prayers and her never ending quest for independence.

The new works continue to script her journey in her typical story-telling style, so evident in her growing body of work, performance, and experimentation across the traditional and her passion for the wonder and possibilities of technology.
